Privacy

BetterWoot has no accounts, no ads and no tracking. Nothing you type or click is sent to us.

The extension

• Your settings (sorting, filters, dark mode, the poll) are saved in Chrome's sync storage, which follows your Chrome profile. BetterWoot can't read them.
• For search, it downloads the list of live Woot! deals from betterwoot.com, about every 20 minutes while you use it, and searches that list on your computer. The download carries no information about you or your searches.
• It only runs on Woot! shopping pages, and only changes how they look and what they show. It never reads your Woot! account, cart or orders.

betterwoot.com

• BetterWoot Search runs in your browser in the same way: the page downloads the deal list and searches it there. Your search words stay in the page's address so you can share a search; they are not sent to us.
• The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. Cloudflare, which hosts it, keeps standard request logs (such as IP address and the page requested) for security.

Deal data

The deal list comes from Woot!'s public Developer API. Prices and stock can lag woot.com by a few minutes; woot.com is always right.
