The best ones do, sometimes within minutes. In our experience, the hottest deals that go up at midnight Central can be gone before most people wake up. But most Woot! deals never sell out at all. The trick is knowing which kind you're looking at.
What the numbers show
BetterWoot refreshes its live Woot! deal list every 20 minutes. Here's what a snapshot showed on a Tuesday in October 2026:
- of the night's 839 new deals sold out by 10 a.m.
- 4%
- of the night before's 1,169 were gone a day and a half later
- 18%
- of all 9,600 listed deals showed as sold out
- 9%
So most deals are still there days later, and a small share disappears fast.
Those figures show which deals were sold out when we checked. BetterWoot now records the first check that finds each deal sold out, so future figures can show how many midnight deals disappeared within a given time. Checks are 20 minutes apart, and some deals may be missing from the feed, so the data cannot establish the exact minute a deal sold out.
Which deals sell out
The ones that went in the first morning had two things in common: bigger discounts and lower prices.
- median discount of the deals that sold out
- 64% off
- median discount of the deals still in stock
- 48% off
- median price of the deals that sold out
- $19.99
- median price of the deals still in stock
- $36.99
In other words, the cheap, steeply discounted deals go first. A $7 set of string lights at 71% off doesn't last. A $300 appliance at 30% off is far more likely to wait for you.
Two more kinds sell out by design:
- Woot-Off deals. In a Woot-Off, the next deal only appears when the current one sells out, so every deal is racing the clock. (See what a Woot-Off is.)
- Bags of Crap. They've been known to sell out in seconds.
How to tell a deal is about to sell out
Woot! gives a few hints on its own pages:
- "Hurry, only 1 left!" Deal pages warn you when stock is low.
- A pulsing button. Woot!'s FAQ says the "I Want One" button pulses when a deal is close to selling out.
- A progress bar on Woot-Off deals shows how much is left.
- Last chance. Woot!'s All Deals list has a Last chance sort.
Deal pages also show "Speed to First Woot": how long it took the first person to buy. For a popular Woot-Off deal, that can be under a second.
How to get the good ones
The short version is below. For the whole playbook, see how to get the best deals on Woot!
- Be there at midnight Central (1 a.m. Eastern, 10 p.m. Pacific). That's when most new deals go up. (See when Woot! posts new deals.)
- Be signed in, with checkout ready. Woot! checks out through Amazon Pay, so make sure your Amazon account has your card and address saved. With Prime, standard shipping is free. (See Amazon Prime on Woot!)
- Look at the steep discounts first. Those are the ones that won't wait. BetterWoot Search: newest deals 60% off or more, in stock.
- Relax about the rest. Most deals run a week or more and never sell out. If it's not a big discount, you probably have time to think it over.
Questions
Do sold-out Woot! deals come back?
Sometimes, but there's no schedule and no notification list. The Woot! app can alert you to Woot-Offs and app-only deals, but not to a restock. (See Woot! app notifications.) A sold-out deal often stays listed until its end date, marked sold out. BetterWoot Search can hide those. (See how to search all of Woot!)
Why do Woot! deals sell out so fast?
Many have a limited quantity, and the best ones are cheap enough that lots of people want them at once. Limits per customer help spread them around, but popular deals still go quickly.
What time do the most deals sell out?
The rush is right after midnight Central, when most new deals go up. Woot-Off deals sell out throughout the day while a Woot-Off is running.
