Clearance is Woot!'s section for last-chance deals, overstock, and open-box sales. It used to be its own site, Sellout.Woot, and the old address still leads there. It's also where Woot-Offs and Boxes of Crap turn up, so it's worth knowing your way around.

What's in Clearance
Clearance holds deals from every corner of the Woot! site. On that Tuesday in October 2026, it broke down like this:
| Category | Deals |
|---|---|
| Home & Kitchen | 1,019 |
| Sports & Outdoors | 371 |
| Tools & Garden | 320 |
| Electronics | 291 |
| Computers | 151 |
Beyond single deals, Clearance runs a few kinds of sales:
- Open-box sales. Events like "Open Box: Big Box" sell opened items: photo samples, tested customer returns, and items with damaged packaging. (See Woot!'s conditions, explained.)
- Woot-Offs. When a Woot-Off is on, it runs in Clearance, and the Clearance tab gets Woot!'s flashing orange light. (See what a Woot-Off is.)
- Woot-Off leftovers. After a Woot-Off, Woot! often puts what didn't sell back up in a leftovers sale in Clearance.
- The Box of Crap. Its listings live in Clearance, too. (See the Bag of Crap.)
Is Clearance cheaper?
Not by the numbers. On that Tuesday, the median Clearance deal claimed 41% off its reference price, slightly less than the 44% median across all Woot! deals. What sets Clearance apart is what's in it. It holds about three-quarters of Woot!'s open-box deals, and more of its deals sell out: about 18% showed as sold out, against about 9% site-wide. Prices aren't lower, either; the median Clearance deal cost $29.99, against $22.99 for the rest of the site.
How to shop it
- Browse it from the Clearance tab at the end of Woot!'s menu.
- Search it. Woot! has no search box, but BetterWoot Search can show just Clearance, with sold-out deals hidden. Add a word, a price limit, or a condition filter to narrow it. (See how to search all of Woot!)
- Sort by discount, then check the going price. Clearance's crossed-out prices work like the rest of Woot!'s. (See Woot!'s reference price, explained.)
Questions
What is Sellout.Woot?
Woot!'s old clearance site. It's now the Clearance section of woot.com, and sellout.woot.com still takes you there.
Can I return a Clearance item?
Generally yes, under Woot!'s usual 30-day policy, with the same exceptions as anywhere else on the site. (See Woot!'s return policy.)
Why are so many Clearance deals sold out?
Clearance stock is often limited: leftovers, overstock, and single open-box batches. Once they're gone, they're gone, but sold-out deals can stay listed until they end.
